With Australian teacher Pat Price and the Karuna Private Educational Trust, Women for Change is helping create a new college providing tertiary education to young women from across Nepal — with a particular focus on the Dalit community, who too often miss out on the chance of an education. Heartland Academy provides tuition, tutoring, pastoral care and career counselling on site in Kathmandu.
Recognising that education alone isn’t enough, we are also supporting the development of a new centre for women’s physical and psychological health.
